[sponsored] ORLY Germany no.1

Hello everyone,

as I said two days ago, today will follow my 2nd ORLY post.

This time the team from ORLY Germany was so kind to send me a sample package with lots of information’s and three nail polish to try out. Thanks a lot for that, I really appreciate it. Especially since I already own three polishes from ORLY which I liked very much. So I was excited to try out these three polishes.

I must honestly say that I am the type of girls that loves and reads all the information’s that companies offer. I am really interested in what they have to tell me about their products and also company history. I am a sucker for such things.

I want to give you some basic information about ORLY. It is a beauty company that was created in 1975 by Jeff Pink.
He created a natural nail look to help screen actresses speed up the time between wardrobe changes. Simple, classic and feminine, this time-saving manicure accentuated the nails without ever upstaging the outfit. Stylists and starlets loved the new look that quickly spread through the fashion world. Once it hit the runways of Paris Jeff knew he had the perfect name… the French Manicure! Then came treatments, lacquers, more lacquers and the very first better-for-your-nails gel. And of course shimmer, sparkle and shine. It all started with Jeff Pink almost 4o years ago and his unwavering commitment to the industry promises many colorful years ahead.

To honor the legacy of Jeff Pink a portrait was created using ORLY nail lacquer colors. Selected for her exuberant use of color, ORLY chose world-renowned artist, Francoise Nielly to create the original oil painting that would be used in the campaign. Francoise mixed her own pigments to match popular ORLY nail lacquer shades. The finished portrait of Jeff will be unveiled at a special event at Cosmoprof Las Vegas in July.

If you want to know more about ORLY, maybe check out the following video.

ORLY offers a standard collection with rich cream polishes, dazzling shimmers and smooth glitters, but also the “flash glam’s”, manicure miniatures, french manicure polishes and kits as well as season collections like “mash up” as well as the “blushes” (which are soft romantic nudes and light rosé polishes) and a nail care range.

These were the three polishes they sent to me.

From left to right: 40790 harmonious mess, 20497 tropical pop, 40053 crawford’s wine

40790 harmonious mess

A beautiful light lilac polish which is prefect for spring I think. It is also a great color for nail designs because it is opaque. Because of that I tried stamping them on my bare nail and tadaa~ it works. Especially the red one works very well.

20497 tropical pop

BAM! what a color!
That’s what I thought when I saw this polish peeking out of the package.
It is just such a gorgeous neon orange!

I immediately had to try it out and went to work with it the next day and everyone at work and outside told me the same, what a great color this is.

I felt the orange is even more popping when the lightning is bad. On thursday I didN#t have my desk lamp on and the bright neon really distracted me from my work when my fingers where flying over my keyboard keys.

Congratulation ORLY, you did a very great job with this. I wish I could try all the neons you offer. :D

40053 crawford’s wine

Oh what a pretty shimmery red polish. I like that it is less bright but a nice dark red wine color.
I can imagine it looking stunning for a date out, maybe wearing simple and elegant clothing.

I am not a dress type of girl, but for your little black dress, this is the right polish.

Again, thanks a lot to ORLY. I really enjoy these polishes and will post for design using them in the future.

How do you girls like these polishes?
Any favorite? Any recommendations maybe?
