Good evening everyone,
tonight I have a special post for you again. Depending on your age, some of you might have grown up with Shaun the Sheep, which is why I thought it would be fun to create a nail design and video tutorial.
For those of you who don’t know Shaun and his friends, Shaun the Sheep is a British stop-motion animated television series. It is a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise. The series stars Shaun and his adventures around a small farm as the leader of his flock.
The series inspired another spin-off, Timmy Time, which follows the adventures of Shaun’s small cousin.
In the UK the feature-length film, titled Shaun the Sheep Movie, was released in February 2015. Here in Germany the Movie was released yesterday, March 19th.

For my nail design I wanted to re-create as much of the main characters as possible.
As you can see, I placed a different character on each nail. Only the thumbs got the same character – Shirley, which is described as the eating machine. She is so big that she often gets stuck and needs the other sheep to help and push, pull or even sling-shot her out of trouble, even using heavy equipment at times.
On the pointer finger of my left hand you see Timmy, Shaun’s cousin. He may be the baby of the flock, but is often at the center of things. Luckily his mum is always there to keep him safe.
The left hands middle finger shows Shaun. You already know that he is the main character of the series and the leader of the flock. He is a clever sheep and keeps his head. He has a good friendship with Bitzer.
The ring finger shows the farmer and therefore owner of Bitzer. The Farmer is a drum and bass-loving Welshman who runs the farm with Bitzer at his side. He is completely oblivious to the human-like intelligence (or even the stupidity) of his flock. His disastrous attempts at dating are an ongoing joke of the series.
On the right hands ring finger we see Bitzer. He is a loyal dog and Shaun’s friend. He can neglect his duties, but he enlists the help of Shaun and the Flock to fix any mishaps and is determined to please the farmer.
The middle finger shows Shaun again, but this time at his favorite place the grassland.
Last but not least, on the right hands pointer finger you see Lunettiena, Timmy’s Mother. She wears curlers in her hair, and is a bit careless about maternal duties, even using Timmy once as some sort of paint brush. But when her offspring goes astray, she is inconsolable until he is safely back in her care. She is also Shaun’s aunt.
After clarifying the who is who of the flock I want to show you a close-up of the characters and continue with the video. It turned out pretty long (almost 10 min.) but since every nail has a different design, that’s the time it took to show you how to re-create this cute look.
Sadly The video doesn’t show how I drew on Lunettiena, but I know you are smart, so you will figure out how I created her. It is really easy.
